I wanted to maximize solar without a portable panel so I filled the roof to the max. Still a work-in-progress with reference to tying the wiring in but everything fits and the 2 additional panels are in place. Gives me a possible 70 watts under ideal conditions. Hope to average 50% in actual usage. […]

Personalizing My Little Trailer
Added Xantrex Inverter Power
In preparation for the addition of permanent AC power and also to gain a bit more room to store the Porta-Potty I replaced the door that is used to gain access to under the sink with a piece of panelling held in place by magnetic latches. This allowed for a flat space, without a door […]
Decal removed successfully
Removed the front decal in preparation of installing an additional 21 watts of solar. Used a low power heat gun and the decal peeled off nicely. No glue stayed behind.
Lid closed on new Battery setup
Mounted the 3 inch remote MPPT meter today and while not completely finished with all my wiring I was able to close the lid and put cushions back in their place. The digital volt display is connected directly to the Battery. The backlit meter is connected to the MPPT solar controller and provides information about […]
Changed batteries to 2 x 6 Volt
In an effort to gain a little more off-grid time I’ve changed to 2 x 6 Volt batteries to get the available AmpHours up. I’ve also changed Solar Controllers to an MPPT type. May not actually make much difference but it has a display with information as to Solar and Battery where I might be […]
Water Inlet Fix
Found that if fresh water was filled to the brim there was a small leak in the inlet side of the pump. The problem… slight mismatch of plastic pipe and brass fitting size. Fixed by adding some RV putty and using a clamp that was slightly wider and instead of regular hose clamp I used […]
What did we do on mySuite this week?
More ‘putzin around to personalize mySuite. Added Barrel Bolts to hold the daytime seat-back in place better. As one leaned back the bottom would move out. The bolts will also help to keep the seat-back in place during travel. It had a tendency to wander a bit. Daytime/Travel mode, without […]
Added safety pin to Emergency Exit
During my intro session when I picked up the Suite I was forewarned about opening the window too far. It’s one of those necessary compromises I guess. Has to be easy to open as an Emergency Exit yet serve as a window during normal times. Opening it too far put’s it into emergency mode, breaking […]
Finished the Grey Water Tank Addition
Another step completed towards No Setting Up Required when doing a brief stop. Utilized 4 inch pipe and epoxy’d fittings in. Rerouted drain to go into the tank instead of the street side fitting.
Grey Water Tank roughed in
Had to redo some fittings so rough-in was as far as I got today. Have to thank ProLite for leaving some extra meat on the fresh water tank brackets. Made it easy to add straps for the home-made grey water tank.
