This site is forever under construction or at least for as long as I own a GMC. The home page has some images on what the site should look like. If it does not when viewing it with your browser please email me the type and version of your browser. Thank You.

GMC Western States 2003 Fall Roundup in Osoyoos, BC

Denny Allen, you did an excellent job of putting this on - Thank You.

It was our first time at a Western States Roundup and only our third GMC gathering even though we've owned our Coach for some sixteen years. We're looking forward to attending more.

Not only was this my first time at a Roundup but thanks (???) to Gene Fisher I was introduced via trial by fire to talking in front of an audience about Disc Brakes. I still don't know whether to thank Gene or not but I have to admit that I did have fun preparing for it and even the doing it.

I don't know how close I kept to my prepared text as that period of the Roundup turned a little blurry .

Perhaps you're looking for a refresher or perhaps you missed the Roundup altogether. Here is the prepared part of the Disc Brake Seminar, the actual one is forever lost. The seminar was in 2 parts, sort of, as I installed TSM brakes initially and then upgraded the front and front rear with Lee Harrison's kit. Here is that second part.

Of course being the glutton for punishment I seem to be, I did it all over again later that night talking about Wireless Internet (WiFi). I'll try and remember what was said and will add a page at some future date. For now this pic of how I was set up in Tofino will have to do :-)
This was probably the first Rally/Roundup that had Wireless Internet available. Not all that had a wireless card were successful in connecting to our WiFi Gateway but those that did enjoyed keeping tabs on news, email and their stock portfolios. The almost live images that some watched (hopefully :-) were done with a wireless network camera as an experiment. The experiment worked, to a point. I say to a point as it also pointed out some shortcomings and a thirst to do it again. Learned lots... hopefully it'll be remembered when needed next and hopefully what was learned won't be outdated by then.

Giving credit were it's due: The pictures in the 2-300 range (in the filename) were taken by Roger Floyd. Thank You Roger.

The images size has been reduced to make them web browser friendly. if you want to print any or would like them full size for whatever reason please email me. The ones I took are 1600x1200 and Rogers' are 1280x960 in their original state.

Just some playing around, not sure if of any interest but gave me an excuse to take a ride
on the scooter and to play with some video editing tools.
A forewarn... you'll probably want to be on dsl or cable to view as it's a 48mb download.
