28 Watts of Solar added

I wanted to maximize solar without a portable panel so I filled the roof to the max.

Still a work-in-progress with reference to tying the wiring in but everything fits and the 2 additional panels are in place.

Gives me a possible 70 watts under ideal conditions. Hope to average 50% in actual usage.

Hi Heinz: I’ve been following your modifications to your Prolite Suite. I’ve purchased one too, graduating from a Silver Shadow teardrop trailer. I want to add 2 x 21 watt Powerfilm solar panels and was wondering how you went about running the electrical line to the MPPT controller & battery. Did you go through a window?, through the outside storage door?, drill a hole through the wall? Thanks for any information from your experience.

    1. Hi Mark,
They (Prolite) went through the roof and hid the wiring, somewhat. I was hoping that they would have buried it during construction but didn’t.
I’ll get you some pics specific to the run tomorrow.
      Heinz
